Accessibility Cards from CT Plus Bus Service

New Accessibility Cards are making travelling around Guernsey even easier

A new card is available for those who may have difficulty in using public transport because of their age, disability, illness or any other factor. The Accessibility Card is a discreet ‘I may need help’ card that can be shown to drivers when boarding a bus.

The Guernsey initiative has been nominated by the Guernsey Disability Alliance as part of their Make a Change Campaign recognising organisations that think differently about disability.

The cards have been made available to associated charities across the Bailiwick and can also be requested from the CT Plus office.

Autism Guernsey’s Katie Sweeney has been handing out Accessibility Cards to her members. She has also helped with the sticking on of the stickers so as the driver would know exactly the help needed. Katie adds that the feedback already from one user is that they are really pleased with their Accessibility Card which is helping them enormously.

If your charity would like some Accessibility Cards or a visit to learn more about how they can be used, call Jon or Shelly on 700456.
