Health Information Guernsey and the St John’s Ambulance have launched a new scheme called Message in a Bottle. It is a simple idea that encourages people to keep their basic personal and medical information in a common place where they can be found in an emergency.
The information is kept in a bottle and and the bottle is kept in the fridge where the emergency services will expect to find it in an event of being called to your home. The scheme is particularly useful for people with life threatening conditions and people who live alone.
Bottles can be obtained for free at St John’s or the Health Information Guernsey offices at the PEH Hospital and at Beau Sejour. For more information, call Health Information Guernsey on 707470.
