If you are a “blue badge” holder or of States pensionable age you can see the Christmas lights by car. You can drive yourself or be a passenger in a car going through normally pedestrianised streets in St Peter Port.

You can go through Smith Street, the High Street, Le Pollet, Mill Street and Mansell Street. In previous years Smith Street has been two way with Le Pollet to the Town Church being one way and Mansell Street down to Mill Street being one way. These roads will be subject to a 12 mph speed limit.

This is a general permission to allow members of the public to drive through Town without the need to obtain a specific permit.

Access by car is only permitted between 6pm and 10pm on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday,  and Wednesday evenings from  30th November through to 30th December 2025, excluding Christmas Eve – Wednesday 24th December, 2025.
