Michael Evans, Chief Executive of Guernsey Employment Trust was GDA’s November Guest Speaker. He spoke about the range of employment services available for 16 – 67 year olds.
GET have been running since May this year and have just moved into their new building at The Fort Complex by L’Islet. GET offer four key services:

1. A Team of 5 people to support people searching for employment.
2. Work Experience Placements, giving people opportunities to test a job.
3. Job Club, where people can practice interview techniques, improve CV‘s and write letters to companies asking for interviews.
4. Employers’ Consultancy and Advisory Service, to encourage and help employers throughout the process of employing somebody with a disability.
