Fundraising for equality of opportunity – Changing the way Guernsey thinks about disability.
We have a number of levels to our fundraising, from strategic grants for salaries to campaigns, community fundraising and the standard letters to local companies. It involves all areas of the community and takes a considerable amount of time. This is complicated, but the fact than many people struggle with our roles as looking for long term solutions to disabled islanders rights, rather than offering services.
I have spent the last two months recruiting volunteers and supporters to assist us. We are very fortunate to have excellent new people joining our campaigns team and friends of the GDA .
