Autism Guernsey, in conjunction with the National Autistic Society, has launched a brand new outreach service for children and adults with autism. The aim is to close the current gap in States’ service provision which currently leaves families and individuals affected by autism with little support, particularly in the home environment.
The service will be run by Anne Blondel, the new Outreach Coordinator, offering professional support in the home and, where required, co-ordination and engagement with other agencies.
Channel TV report on the launch
Autism Guernsey are keen to hear from those interested about their ideas how such a service would best meet the needs of individuals and families effected by autism.
